Coin Flip

← All tools

Flip a coin the moment you need one — heads or tails, chosen with cryptographic randomness and shown with a real 3D flip. Flip a batch at once when you need more than one call, and keep a running tally as you go.

How to use the Coin Flip

  1. Choose how many coins to flip at once — from 1 up to 10.
  2. Click “Flip” and watch the coin tumble to a result.
  3. For a single coin, the result reads Heads or Tails; for a batch, you'll see the split, e.g. “6 heads, 4 tails”.
  4. The running tally below keeps count across every flip until you reset it.

FAQ

Is this really 50/50?
Yes — each flip draws one bit of cryptographic randomness (crypto.getRandomValues), giving heads and tails an exactly equal chance every time, independent of any previous flip.
If I just got 5 heads in a row, is tails more likely next?
No — this is the gambler's fallacy. Each flip is completely independent of the last; the coin has no memory. Five heads in a row is unlikely as a run, but the sixth flip is still exactly 50/50.
What does flipping a batch show me?
Flipping more than one coin at once shows how many landed heads versus tails in that batch, and adds all of them to the running tally below.
Does the tally save between visits?
No — the tally is only kept for your current visit to the page and resets when you reload or click Reset tally.
