Dice Roller

← All tools

Choose how many dice and what kind — d4 through d20 — then roll. Each die tumbles into a genuinely random result and the total adds itself up, so you can settle a tabletop rule or a bet without digging through a dice bag.

How to use the Dice Roller

  1. Pick how many dice to roll and how many sides each one has.
  2. Click “Roll”. Each die tumbles and lands on its result.
  3. The sum of all dice appears below the tray.
  4. Change the count or sides at any time and roll again.

FAQ

Are these dice actually fair?
Yes — each die's result is drawn independently with crypto.getRandomValues using rejection sampling, so every face has exactly an equal 1-in-N chance with no bias toward any number.
What's the difference between d6 and d20?
The number is how many sides (and possible outcomes) that die has — a d6 is a standard six-sided cube, a d20 is the twenty-sided die common in tabletop role-playing games. This tool supports d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20.
Can I roll more than 6 dice at once?
The tray supports up to 6 dice per roll to keep results easy to read at a glance — roll twice and add the totals if you need more.
Does the tumble animation affect the result?
No — the result for each die is decided the instant you click Roll. The tumble is a visual flourish and is skipped automatically if your system has reduced motion turned on.
