FAQ
- How are teams kept even when the numbers don't divide evenly?
- Names are shuffled with a cryptographically random Fisher-Yates shuffle, then dealt out to teams one at a time in order — like dealing cards — so team sizes never differ by more than one person.
- Can I control who ends up on which team?
- No — the whole point is a fair, unbiased split. If you need to keep specific people apart or together, adjust the input list and re-split, or handle that pairing manually afterward.
- What's the maximum number of teams?
- Up to 10 teams at once, and you'll need at least as many names as teams.
- Can I send this exact split to my group?
- Yes — “Copy link” encodes your name list and team count into the URL. Anyone opening it can generate their own random split from the same list, or you can share a screenshot of the result.
